All of the top sealing dampers are controlled by a stay cool handle situated on the side of the firebox. The handle is attached to a super strong and lightweight braided stainless steel aircraft cable.

Replacement damper blades

If you still want to use your old damper chances are we can repair it or replace it with a new one. However we must warn you this is usually an expensive endeavor because of the cramped confines. It is usually much less costly to install a top sealing damper and the energy savings are no comparison.

Replacement damper handles-

If your handle is broken we can get those also. We have found a manufacturer who specializes in old style damper handles and can probably get you an exact fit. If it is a regular modern type damper we can easily fabricate those and put you back in business.

Heat Shields/Firebacks

In Europe people learned long ago if they put a heavy piece of metal in the back of the fireplace it would protect the back firewall from intense heat damage and recapture a great amount of heat by radiating it back into the room instead of allowing it to escape up the chimney. They used heavy cast iron and as times progressed added designs to the plates that told of special moments or seasons in their lives. In Ireland today they still use their fireplaces for heat and cooking and you will find a fireback in most of them.

We are capitalizing on a page out of the past and installing a newer version of the fireback in hundreds of homes with our customers reaping the benefits. Instead of the heavy cast iron, we use a sturdy .304 stainless steel which is more economical to ship and costs much less than the cast iron versions. Ours come in 5 sizes to fit any fireplace. The 15"x15" and 16"x18" are primarily used for smaller fireplaces with the 20"x20", 24"x24", and 27"x27" for masonry fireplaces. They come in three styles…plain stainless steel, etched with a pair of wheat leaves or painted black. Our most popular model is the etched wheat leaves.

When a fire is burned the fireback changes color from silver to copper to black and repeats that cycle each time a fire is built.
These firebacks are economically priced and installation is a breeze. Just take the bracket legs off the rear and place them at the back of the fireplace and place the heat shield into the slots at the angle you prefer and you are done. 1. Cozy Grate Heater

We now carry a product to turn your fireplace into a real heater at a great cost savings. The Cozy Grate Heater is a specialized grate that fits in your fireplace and you build a fire on it as you normally would. The variable speed 100 cfm fan pumps out up to 40,000 BTU's of heat per hour. It is thermostatically controlled to come on at 110 degrees and go off at 90 degrees.

The heater comes in three sizes with the motor on either side. Heat is expelled from the heater trim bar that spans the front of the fireplace at the bottom.

The Cozy Grate Heater will fit most fireplaces even with glass doors as they sit on top of the heater trim bar.

For gas fireplaces our Gas Log Heater works great. Same concept as our Cozy Grate Heater but gas is used as a fuel instead of wood.

The heater puts out 25,000 BTU of heat per hour and uses a 60 CFM blower with a thermostat control to provide heat. It too comes on when the fire gets to 110 degrees and turns off at 90 degrees. The steel tubing is warranted for 2 years. It holds most manufacturers logs from 16 to 30 inches longs. It can only be used with a sand pan type burner.
