A little portion of the 5 gallons of lint extracted from a 6" screened vent. Note the 'bite' on the bottom of the right clump. That was the only exit for dryer lint and heat to escape!

Is your dryer taking too long to do its job?
Some dryers located on an outside wall have relatively short vents that can be easily cleaned by the homeowner, but others are difficult to clean because they snake up and vent out the roof requiring special tools and equipment to clean. Our tools are specifically designed for dryer vents and do a thorough job of cleaning even the most difficult installations.
Most roofers or installers make dryer vents where they can not be easily accessed for cleaning. Almost always we must modify the vent in order to allow for annual cleanings and then use one of our three systems to clean it out. Unlike chimneys which have about 4 types, very few dryer vents are built the same.
If your dryer takes twice as long to dry clothes as it should, the number of loads that it will dry in its lifetime is cut way down. When the dryer runs at higher than designed temperatures, the life of your clothes dryer decreases even more. This can lead to the heating element burning out or even the extrmely flammable lint in the vent catching fire.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission reported in 1997 there were 16,800 dryer fires which caused 30 deaths, 430 injuries and 97.3 million dollars in property damage. Watch the following videos to learn about the dangers of not having your dryer vent cleaned.

Beware of the low price cleaners!!!!
If you paid around $30 to get yours cleaned and are still having trouble your vent has not been properly cleaned. Cleaning only from the bottom is doing less than half the job.
We offer:
- Thorough cleaning from top and bottom
- We put our pressure gauge on vent to measure air flow to scientifically tell you how much we improved the vent flow
- We have the equipment to remove water often found in under the slab dryer vents.
Give us a call to clean your dryer vent. We guarantee that you will immediately notice the performance difference.
Lint and additional debris builds up in your clothes dryer vent and decreases its efficiency. This creates hazardous conditions with the possibility for exhaust fires. If a gas clothes dryer is improperly vented or the exhaust duct itself is blocked by lint or debris, carbon monoxide can be forced back into your living space.
We inspect and clean your dryer vent, verifying that the correct type of duct is in use. For example, plastic transition ducts (joining the dyer to the wall) should be replaced with metal duct, because it is non-flammable, unlike plastic.
Annual dryer exhaust vent inspections are more necessary than ever before due to the complex construction of homes built today. Newer homes tend to have dryers located away from an outside wall in bathrooms, kitchens and in hall utility closets which are convenient, but potentially dangerous from a safety standpoint. These new locations mean that dryers have longer vent distances and more bends to accommodate the extended path they must take through the home. As a result they are harder to access and the additional length creates more places for lint to collect and animals and birds can hide. In addition to these safety considerations, annual clothes dryer exhaust inspections can also increase the efficiency of your clothes dryer and decrease the wear on your appliance.
One of the past and perhaps even current ways for builders to vent dryers is to put a 4" PVC pipe and pour the concrete slab around it. This is a terrible idea for the vent must go into the wall behind the dryer, turn 90 degrees down then turn 90 degrees again and go out to the side of the slab. There it must again turn 90 degrees up and then 90 degrees out the wall. This creates a trap which corrals the lint in a trapped "U". Furhtermore we many times find these traps full of water. The water is the condensation off the drying clothes not able to escape the vent trap. We must siphon the water out before we attempt to get the soaked lint out. We have seen some drastic instances where it sounds like the ocean when the dryer is on as the air pushes the water until it gets to the outside 90 degree bend where it sloshes back into the vent. We recommend rerouting to avoid the problem and sometimes can help homeowners with the task.
Proper vent
The proper vent should be rigid and fairly stout material. It is against code and dangerous to make vents in the wall and the attic of the thin aluminum foil like "slinky" material found in the market now. That material is not even good for the connection from the dryer to the wall much less inside the wall. The thinner material can flame up easily when coated with lint from normal drying patterns. If this is inside a wall it makes the problem even worse. Also the thinner materials are not able to stand up to the rigors of a thorough cleaning with the proper tools. Deterioration even adds to this problem.
